A decision on Iran’s future, he said, would likely come “right after the elections.”
Trump touted a string of foreign policy claims — the release of Venezuelan political prisoners following Nicolás Maduro’s arrest, a major new oil deal with Caracas, and strikes against drug cartels he likened to “the ISIS of the Western Hemisphere,” naming Mexico as their epicenter. He said his administration had “settled eight wars,” including ending the conflict in Gaza and securing the return of hostages, and predicted a Ukraine deal was close.
He also announced plans for new US military bases in Greenland and praised what he called historic UN budget and staffing cuts. Trump urged the UN to abandon a “far-left globalist agenda” and called on all countries to withdraw from the International Criminal Court.
